Shopping

From boutiques, to jewelry, art to sweet treats, home goods to gifts, there are so many fabulous stores to shop till you drop!

There are some truly fabulous stores on Anna Maria, so if you are looking for some time away from the beach, indulging in a bit of shopping is a definite must do!

The best place to start is Pine Avenue, the main commercial retail street in Anna Maria City. Its sustainability practices by groups such as the Pine Avenue Restoration Project and the Historic Green Village has won many awards, and is dubbed the ‘The Greenest Little Main Street in America‘.

Some of our favorite stores on Pine Avenue, include Pink & Navy, a gorgeous boutique with the latest brand name clothing and accessories for women, men and children.  Pink & Navy has a focus on buying brands that protect the environment or give back to those less fortunate and being inclusive of many sizes. They carry many fashion lines that are produced through fair trade and are environmentally friendly. They also encourage their staff to be creative and community focused, whether through designing and making their own jewelry, clothing and accessories found at P&N or through giving back to society in other positive ways! A really great store to support!

Next door to Pink & Navy is another gorgeous clothing store, Bella by the Sea. Carrying a wide variety of clothing, jewelry and accessories, Bella by the Sea has everything island style a woman needs to enjoy the perfect beach get away!

And if you’ve work up an appetite in these two stores alone; you must pop in to the Donut Experiment. Freshly made, delicious donuts served with any number of your favorite toppings. Perfect for a well deserved shopping break!

Located toward the eastern end of Pine Avenue, is the Historic Green Village; an incredible development showcasing the latest in green technology, including on the roofs, 400 Photovoltiac Solar panels, to power the sites entire electricity needs, geothermal heating and water and rain water storage and recycling. You will also find 3 historic buildings, that were renovated and redeveloped as part of the project.

And is that wasn’t enough to come take a look at, you will find nestled within the Village; Island Charms, a stunning fine jewelry and home ware store, Hometown Desserts who in our opinion make the best cakes, cookies and sweet treats on the island, realtors Fran Maxon, Decor de France, selling beautiful home ware, directly imported from France. And the Anna Maria General Store; the grocery store for everything you need for your rental, plus deli counter, perfect for a beach takeout, or to enjoy on their own deck on site!
